The Morro Castle was on a cruise from New York City to Havana, Cuba, when the fire broke out. The fire started in the ship's engine room and quickly spread to the rest of the ship. The crew and passengers were forced to abandon ship, and many of them died in the water. Those who survived were rescued by other ships that came to their aid.
This book tells the stories of those who survived the Morro Castle disaster. It includes first-hand accounts from survivors and the crew, as well as a detailed analysis of the fire and its causes. The book also contains rare photos of the ship, the fire, and the aftermath.
